Barney Hosey, Client Service Director

Barney has worked in print and production for 11 years, across manufacturing, creative agency and print management roles. He studied geography at Manchester University, and started in the direct marketing industry at Mail Marketing. He was promoted quickly to Key Account Manager, responsible for large time-critical mailing campaigns for organisations like Book Club Associates, Cornhill and Oxfam. Barney then became a key player within the production department at agency DMS where his specialist DM production knowledge benefited organisations like The Samaritans, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), Barclays, UNAT Insurance and The British Heart Foundation. Here he progressed to Production Development Director where his role was to focus on marrying creative conceptual ideas to smart production solutions – a grounding that has enabled Barney to become one of the most creative DM production professionals in the industry.

At Brightsource, Barney has grown the client services team from 6 to 20, with overall responsibility for delivering service excellence to the company's clients. His passion for print innovation and the detail is as strong as ever, and Barney remains a key player in the development of exciting new formats.
