Brightsource appoint Sustainability Analyst to boost carbon management service
Lindsay Travis, formerly with sustainable development charity, Forum for the Future, joins Brightsource in the new role of Sustainability Analyst to develop its recently launched carbon footprinting service.
Already proving popular with clients in both the commercial and non-profit sectors, Brightsource is looking to build on the success of its carbon footprinting service by investing in the development of a new software tool they've called footmark. Marketers will be able to use this software to accurately preview and control emissions on a campaign-by-campaign basis. Lindsay has been tasked with analysing and collating the reference data that sits behind Footmark software. Initially covering the activities and processes associated with each of the lifecycle stages of direct marketing campaigns, the long-term aim is that footmark will be able to compare and contrast carbon emissions across all marketing channels.
Lindsay was instrumental in developing Forum for the Future's quarterly B2B publication, Green Futures, in which she developed strong partnerships with the likes of WWF, Ecotricity and the National Trust. She looks forward to working with Brightsource to help companies address their environmental impact. 'As far as I'm aware there's no one else out there that offers such a detailed carbon footprinting service specifically for marketers”, said Travis. 'I'm delighted to be involved in the development of this pioneering service which will be available to Brightsource's extensive client portfolio and as a stand-alone service to any other interested companies”.
