Tim heads up Brightsource's pre-press department. Tim has 20 years experience in the industry, starting with an educational book publisher in 1986. In 1989, he pioneered the adoption of Macintosh based PostScript artwork systems at Brann – one of the UK's largest DM agencies at the time – and went on to develop in-house repro facilities by 1991. He joined Brann's executive operations board in 1998, and assumed responsibility for planning IT and strategy for all aspects of Macintosh based networks, proofing, colour management, imposition, trapping, plating systems and major publishing software packages.

Before leaving Brann in 2004, Tim researched and operated CTP and digital and analogue proofing systems, managed the artwork studio team, and developed efficient workflows for the agency's artwork-to-print environment. Since joining Brightsource, Tim has developed one of the most technologically advanced repro facilities in the UK. Outside work, he's also a renowned guitarist with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the heavy rock canon.
